2023 Exhibition

Please join us for the Opening Reception of the 2023 Poetic Visions exhibition and poetry competition at the Museum of Art – DeLand, presented in partnership with the Creative Happiness Institute and MainStreet Art & Culture Slam of DeLand.

The contest sought original pieces by area poets prompted by 40 different works of art from the Museum of Art – DeLand’s permanent collection. A panel of judges will curate a selection of the submitted poems (one poem per piece of artwork) to be displayed next to the piece, as well as published in the 2023 Poetic Visions Anthology. From March 31 – May 14, the museum-going public will have a chance to view and vote on the selected poems alongside the artwork they represent.
