Artist Talk with Bryce Hammond
April 16, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The Museum of Art – DeLand hosts an evening gallery talk with artist Bryce Hammond as he discusses his current exhibition, Second Chance. Interpreted through the experiences of students and educators over the COVID-19 pandemic, Hammond’s powerful series explores the new directions we’re compelled to take when confronted by unexpected change.
Hammond has been a professional artist for 26 years, and a Middle School, High School, and College Art Professor for the past 12. In 2013, he brought his MFA thesis installation, Transient Motel, to Alan Avery Art Company in Atlanta. Since then, he’s continued teaching and is now the K-12 Visual Art Curriculum Specialist for Volusia County Schools.
