Art & Poetry Exhibition

The Museum of Art DeLand, Creative Happiness Institute, and MainStreet Art & Culture Slam of DeLand are proud to present The 2020 Poetic Visions Art and Poetry Exhibition.

Earlier this summer, poets were asked write original pieces prompted by 34 different pieces from the Museum of Art – DeLand’s permanent collection. A panel of judges curated a selection of the submitted poems (one poem per piece of artwork) to be published in the 2020 Poetic Visions Anthology and displayed next to the piece in our corresponding art exhibition.

From August 21 – November 15, the museum-going public will have a chance to view and vote on the selected poems alongside the artwork they represent. On November 20, the Museum will host a limited-admission, Awards Ceremony reception to announce the winner and toast all participants. Don’t miss this enriching crossover experience and come celebrate the transformative power of the arts.
