2023 Poetry Competition

The Museum of Art – DeLand is delighted, thrilled, enchanted, (insert your favorite adjective here) to host an evening awards ceremony in celebration of our 2023 Poetic Visions exhibition and poetry competition.

This spring, area poets were tasked with creating original works inspired by 40 selections from our Permanent Collection. The Museum-going public then had a chance to vote for their favorite poem while viewing the exhibition, as well as online in a selection of video entries.

Join us for this special awards ceremony and reception honoring this year’s entrants. The reception will be from 5-6 p.m. and the poetry reading and awards ceremony from 6-7 p.m. where our 2023 Poetic Visions Anthology will be presented to the participating poets.
