DESCRIPTION:Join artist Taylor Robenalt for a hands-on workshop crafting small sculptures that blend flora and fauna. Using hand-building techniques like coil\, pinch\, and slab\, you’ll create creatures and plant forms that reflect your personal narrative. Along the way\, we’ll explore symbolism\, imagery\, and storytelling in your work\, so you’ll leave with a sculpture that embodies your own artistic voice. \nClay and basic tools will be provided\, though you’re welcome to bring your own tools if you prefer. Please note that workshop pieces will not be fired\, but you are welcome to take your creations home. \nCost: $65 for Museum Members  |  $75 for Future Members \nREGISTER HERE

Working primarily in porcelain\, Robenalt embraces the material’s delicate\, skin-like qualities to heighten the emotional resonance of her imagery\, where animals\, flowers\, and human forms become metaphors for loyalty\, freedom\, renewal\, and the cyclical nature of life. \nA professor at Ringling College of Art and Design\, Robenalt creates work that is visually accessible yet deeply reflective\, encouraging intuitive engagement and personal interpretation.
