We are closely following recommended protocols and procedures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Florida Department of Health, Volusia County Health Department, and the American Museum Association, as well as adhering to all relevant City of DeLand ordinances pertaining to health and safety measures regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Following local ordinance of the City of DeLand requiring all residents and visitors to wear a mask in public, all staff and visitors to the Museum are likewise required to wear a mask at all times while on Museum premises, except in the case of approved exemptions outlined by the ordinance.

  • We are limiting the number of guests allowed in the galleries and shops, and ask everyone to maintain a distance of 6 feet.

  • Our staff will engage in enhanced museum-wide safety and cleaning practices including washing, sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces that people touch often and frequently, including, but not limited to: reception desks/ computers; door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, faucets, sinks and counters, and drinking fountains.  Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is available at reception and checkout areas for guests and staff.

  • Plexiglass barriers have been installed in reception and retail areas to protect guests and staff.

  • As part of our effort to provide a safe and healthy environment, we ask staff and guests to avoid visiting the Museum when sick or showing signs of illness.  Masks are required per citywide ordinance.
