Legendary Florida Collection

The Museum’s Legendary Florida Collection features paintings by Jackson Walker that hang in the rotunda of the Historic Volusia County Courthouse in DeLand. The courthouse is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located at 125 W. New York Ave. The guided tour utilizes the Legendary Florida Collection as an education resource for K-12 students. The program incorporates language and visual arts with the environmental sciences, music and social studies. The courthouse is closed on federal and state holidays.

Art Collaborations

Sculpture Walk

Take a walk through Historic DeLand to enjoy a collection of more than a dozen sculpture installations. Two of the pieces were curated by the Museum of Art- Deland, the Continuation and Jeugo each Jimenez Deredia of Costa Rica and are located prominently near City Hall and in front of the Bank of America Building at 230 N. Woodland Ave. The Sculpture Walk is a collaboration between the Museum and the City of DeLand. The artwork changes annually and features a variety of styles and media including concrete, aluminum, stainless steel, PVC, bronze and copper.

Public Art

The Utility Box Art Wrap program features vinyl wrap installed onto the utility boxes. This project is a collaboration between the Museum and the City of DeLand.

Downtown DeLand Miniature Art Adventure

This self-guided DeLand mini art tour is a collaborative effort between the City of DeLand and the Museum of Art – DeLand, featuring works by local and area artists.
